The opening on the 5x7 to 4x5 adapter board has approx. Since the camera arrived I ordered a lens and a standard 4x5 Copal 1 Linhof Technika lensboard (96x99mm), but it is a few millimeters larger than the opening. It does not appear to be aftermarket as it is engraved 'Technika' across the top. It came with what was described as a 5x7 to 4x5 lensboard adapter. The serial number on the shoe is 2531054. It is black and is not range finder equipped. I wish I could download a couple of photos but I have not figured out how to do so. I have gotten a Linhof Technika V 5x7 and am trying to figure it out. Any feedback would be very much appreciated!. I am on a budget, so the 4x5 with 6x17 back is an attractive looking option. Otherwise, I am deciding between a Linhof master technika or technikardan. If swapping is not practical, I am considering the Linhof technorama 617 or 617s iii. One question I have is, how easy are the backs to swap would it be practical to swap them in the field? And what about swapping lenses on a 4x5 Linhof? I want the ability to shoot 6x17 and 4x5 and was thinking about getting a 4x5 with a 6x17 back.

Hello, very recently I made the decision to switch from 35mm DSLR to film and LF for that matter (my knowledge of film at this point is very small). Linhof Technika 70 body with cam (and matching serial number 53mm 80mm 180mm). Linhof Technika 70 With 3 Matching Lenses & 3 Backs Assorted Filters - Red, Yellow, Green, & Polarizer Linhof Tripod (missing level indicator) Haliburton Zero Aluminum Foam Lined Case 28' x 10' x 20' Glass. Linhof 220 Kardan Color, number range 101-1400 Kardan Standard Technika IV 6 For the super Technikas, a rangfinder knife, engraved with the serial number of the lens, couples the rangefinder to the lens-to-film-distance. The serial number, 72xxx number indicates a model V, but the features. 72xxx with a 60 mm Rodagon WA lens in a Copal No.1 shutter.
